Lakers discussing trade package of Bojan Bogdanović, Nerlens Noel

One of the many names that have been floating around as a trade target for the Lakers has been Bojan Bogdanović. Bogdanović is in the midst of a career season, averaging 21.2 points per game and shooting 41.5% from the 3-point line. He is also an ideal fit for this Darvin Ham’s lineup, which needs a reliable shooting wing. While mainly known as a sharpshooter, Bogdanović has improved at putting the ball on the floor and creating his own shot, which can help the team in moments with LeBron on the bench.

Currently, trade rumors have packaged Bogdanović with veteran center Nerlens Noel, who has an expiring deal. Noel could serve as a backup big for this Lakers team, along with Wenyen Gabriel and Thomas Bryant, who have proved themselves to be reliable options that will continue to contribute even when Anthony Davis returns.

The main question surrounding this trade is how many picks Bogdanović is worth and whether those picks will be unprotected or have some protections on them. LA still has tradeable pieces on their current roster, with Kendrick Nunn and Patrick Beverley often being the names that come up when discussing trades.

While the Lakers have looked better recently, inconsistent shooting has hurt them, especially in the last game against the Mavericks. Without a consistent shooter on the roster, Pelinka and the front office have to make a move to fill in this hole.

Overall, Bogdanović is the exact prototype of a player that would fit perfectly on this roster and really any LeBron James team. With Davis nearing a return and LeBron still playing great basketball, Bogdanović might be the missing piece needed for the Lakers to cement a spot in the top ten in the West and compete for a championship.
