Lakers 'Pie-In-The-Sky Scenario' For Durant, Lillard, And Beal

According to Jovan Buja of The Athletic, the Lakers have their eyes on former all-stars to join the team. The names that have come up are DeMar DeRozan, Kyle Kuzma, Myles Turner, Buddy Hield, Kyrie Irving, and Doug McDermott. Each of these names have been linked to the Lakers but how much they have inquired is yet to be known.

Along with these names, Buja stated, “In the ultimate pie-in-the-sky scenario, the Lakers have interest in Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and Bradley Beal if any of the three stars were to become available.”

This report comes as new information because there have been no reports out there linking the Lakers to Damian Lillard and Kevin Durant. The trade demand for these stars would be massive due to the success of these players. Lillard is a 6-time All-Star and has averaged 25/4/7 for his career. Durant is regarded as one of the greatest players to ever play the game. He is a 12-time All-Star who averages 27 points for his career and is 18th on the all-time scoring list.

One player that has caused a stir on Twitter recently is Kyle Kuzma. He recently posted a tweet that said, “Nothing like getting off the plane and that California breeze hit you.”

This caused Lakers Twitter to go into a frenzy as just a few days ago, Chris Haynes reported that the Lakers have reached out to the Washington Wizards about Kyle Kuzma.

The rumor mill is heating up in Los Angeles, but the question remains: Who will the Lakers acquire, and what players will be involved in the deal? All that is known is that the Lakers are reaching out to teams regarding positions of need, so it is only a matter of time before a deal gets done. The Lakers have an open roster spot, so they may also look at the buyout market, as they have had success there in the past.

At least it looks like the Lakers are not trying to stay stagnant. What move do you think the Lakers should pull the trigger on?
