The Lakers could be making a trade after being linked to Knicks forward Cam Reddish. Reddish has fallen out of the Knicks rotation and has fallen into trade rumors again.

Los Angeles has been a guard-heavy team and could use another forward. Reddish was one of the premier talents in the 2019 draft, as he was selected with the 10th pick. He has not found his footing yet in the NBA, but the 23-year-old could be an impactful role player, having shown flashes in the past.
Reddish has the potential to be a high-quality 3&D forward and would fill a big need for the Lakers.
Here are some Cam Reddish defensive highlights, with his excellent frame, 6'8" with a 7'1" wingspan, he excels at getting in passing lanes and getting deflections (ranks in the 97th percentile). I really think he really could be the X factor for this team if he stays healthy. pic.twitter.com/Ut3vph20Ij

Head coach Darvin Ham has run four-guard lineups at times with one big, as LA’s roster lacks depth at forward. Acquiring Reddish would be highly beneficial, and a new situation could allow him to be the player that everyone expected coming out of the draft. He could ease into his role, playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and not have the pressure of becoming a star.
Reddish is averaging 8.4 points per game this season while shooting 44.9% from the field and 30.4% from three.
He would have a role in LA as a forward off the bench, giving the Lakers much-needed depth at that position. It would also give Los Angeles another young player to develop and grow, which is key as they have lost young players over the years through trades for Davis and Russell Westbrook.
.@IanBegley reports that the Knicks and Lakers recently touched base on a 3-team trade:

"It seems like this rotation is here to stay, with McBride in, Derrick Rose out, Cam Reddish out, Evan Fournier out. You can expect to hear those players' names come up in trade rumors" pic.twitter.com/Em5eUgCoAX
Ian Begley of SNY reported that “One thing worth noting is the Lakers and Knicks touched base recently. One of the deals would’ve required a third team to complete. I’m not sure how far along they got on that deal. But we know that the Lakers in the past have shown interest in Cam Reddish since Reddish had been traded to New York.”
The Lakers have shown interest in Reddish already, and he would be a great addition to the team. He can contribute as a two-way player, which LA desperately needs more of at forward. It’s unclear what the Knicks would want in return for Reddish, but it could be a three-teamer as New York looks to move on from multiple players.
Knicks were interested in Kendrick Nunn in 2021. Probably requires a second or two but I think there’s a workable framework there. https://t.co/7nwwSZ5o1h
Kendrick Nunn’s salary would match Reddish’s straight up, and he has struggled with his efficiency this season.
While Reddish may not be a star name linked to the Lakers, he would be an excellent fit for their rotation.
