Lakers Pummel the Pacers at Home
Tonight, your Los Angeles Lakers took on the Indiana Pacers at Crypto.com Arena in LA. The Lakers were on the second night of a back-to-back entering the matchup against the Pacers.
Last night, they lost a tough game to the Nuggets, which snapped a three-game winning streak. Tonight, they wanted to get back on track. The Lakers entered the game without the services of LeBron James, Deandre Ayton, or Maxi Kleber, so it was imperative for them to remain focused.
In a game they needed to win to remain competitive in a tough Western Conference, the Purple and Gold did just that.

Luka Show
As evidenced in the tweet above, Luka Dončić had himself a night. The league’s leading scorer posted an incredible 44 points, nine rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks while shooting 7/14 from three. I should also mention he did this in just three quarters of play.
Luka helped the Lakers to start hot as he so often does with 22 points in the first quarter, and it obviously didn’t stop there. As Billy Mac and Stu Lantz often mention, when his three-ball is falling, there’s very little opposing teams can do.
Lakers Should’ve Beat the Pacers
Yet again, the Lakers were able to defeat a team below .500. While yes, it’s nice to know they win the games they should, it is concerning that these are the vast majority of games they’re winning.
After losing last night to Denver and consistently getting blown out by playoff-caliber opponents, it’s apparent they need to start picking up some quality wins. The rest of this month will afford the opportunity to do that.
In March, the Lakers still have the Knicks, Timberwolves, Nuggets (again), Rockets (twice), Magic, Pistons, and Cavaliers on the schedule. The month of March will prove without a shadow of a doubt whether this team is real or simply just another first-round exit at best.
