Austin Reaves breaks Lakers franchise record
Last night, thanks to James, Doncic, and Reaves, the Lakers were able to recapture the third seed in the West. The Los Angeles Lakers refused to fall victim to the trap game against the New Orleans Pelicans, and with the Pelicans missing most of their roster due to injury, it was a must-win.

The Lakers’ Big Three certainly ensured the win. With all three showing flashes of brilliance, they once again showed why they’ll be so dangerous in the playoffs. One of them had not just an exceptionally good night but the second exceptional night in a row.
Reaves breaks Lakers’ 3-Point record
Despite the disappointing loss against Golden State, one bright spot was Austin Reaves. With most of them coming in a fourth-quarter flurry, Reaves was able to knock down an astonishing nine threes.
You pair that with the six that he was able to knock down tonight, and he earned himself the franchise record for most three-point shots made over a two-game span.

Not only that, but Reaves also moved all the way from seventh to second all-time in franchise threes hit in a single season Friday night. Just another feather in the cap of an undrafted machine out of Arkansas.
This season, Reaves has established himself as one of the best young players in the league and one who is right on the cusp of an All-Star selection. He’s currently averaging 20.1 points, 5.8 assists, and 4.5 rebounds, all of which are career highs.
The best part about his play, as of late, is that he’s ramping up just in time for the playoffs. His success will be a highly determining factor in the team’s overall playoff success this postseason.
We’ve seen him take over playoff games against teams like Memphis, Golden State, and even Denver. I’m sure some new teams will make that list this season.
