Lakers forward/center Christian Wood will undergo an arthroscopic procedure in his left knee, which will sideline him for several weeks, per Adrian Wojnarowski and Dave McMenamin.
Wood has been out with this injury since February 14th. Prior to his injury, Wood appeared in 50 games, averaging 7/5/1 on 47/31/70 shooting splits.
The 28-year-old was an impactful big off the bench for LA but struggled with his efficiency.

In his absence, Jaxson Hayes has seen increased minutes as the primary backup center behind Anthony Davis. Hayes has played well, but the Lakers hope Wood will return by the play-in tournament.
As the 10th seed in the West, LA is likely to remain in the play-in. With injuries, especially in the frontcourt, they could use Wood back in the lineup. Jarred Vanderbilt, Cam Reddish, and Gabe Vincent remain out with their respective injuries.
The Lakers will look to climb up the standings and avoid the play-in tournament. The LakeShow will hope to get Wood back sooner rather than later as a reinforcement for their playoff run.
