LA signed Vincent to a three-year $33 million deal in the offseason. He was signed to be a point-of-attack defender and shooter off the bench for the LakeShow. However, injuries have kept him off the court.
In the five games he’s played, Vincent has struggled. He is averaging 5/1/3 on 38/12/50 shooting splits.
Although his shooting splits are exceptionally low, he proved last season that he can be impactful on offense when it matters most. Vincent was pivotal in the Miami Heat’s run to the NBA Finals.
This is positive news for the Purple and Gold who have faced many injury woes.
It will be interesting to see how Darvin Ham implements Vincent, especially with the midseason pickup of Spencer Dinwiddie, who has taken on the backup point guard role.
