Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent fuel Lakers win over Rockets
The Los Angeles Lakers got a huge win over the Houston Rockets on Monday night, winning 104-98. With the win, the Lakers closed the gap on the Rockets and Denver Nuggets in the standings while increasing their lead over the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors.
With that said, here’s how LA picked up the win over Houston.

Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent three-point barrage
With the Rockets’ defensive attention going towards Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves, Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent had many open looks.
Finney-Smith and Vincent took full advantage, knocking down six threes apiece. Had it not been for the role players off the bench hitting their triples, LA would’ve lost this game.
Lakers defense
The Purple and Gold’s defense was very effective, holding the Rockets to under 100 points. Houston had scored 148 points the night before against the Phoenix Suns.
The Lakers forced 15 turnovers, finishing with 11 steals and six blocks. LA also held Houston to shooting 41.6% from the field, below their average of 45.2%.
This was a big win for the Lakers, who will now have a couple of days off before their matchup on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors.
