Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton make Lakers debuts vs. Cavs
The Lakers’ new players, Dorian Finney-Smith and Shake Milton, will make their debuts tonight against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It will be a difficult matchup for LA as the Cavs have the best record in the NBA at 28-4.
With that in mind, here are the keys to the Lakers getting a win tonight.
Anthony Davis bests Cavs’ bigs
Everything for LA starts with superstar center Anthony Davis. Davis is a dominant force on both ends of the floor but will be up against two good bigs in Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen.
The Lakers will need Davis to put together a complete game on both ends of the floor and outplay Mobley and Allen.
JJ Redick’s message to Dorian Finney-Smith:
“Be you. We need him to be who he is and it will be great for the spirit and energy to our group.”

Lakers role players step up
LA will need to rely on their role players like Rui Hachimura, Max Christie, and the new additions, Finney-Smith and Milton, to play well.
The Cavs are a deep team that can win in many different ways. To combat this, the Lakers will need a great all-around effort to pick up a victory.
