Injury Report: Lakers vs Pelicans

Last night, the Purple and Gold suffered their first loss of the season against the Golden State Warriors in a game that, while made close in the end, was not close for the majority of the game. Tonight, the Lakers have the opportunity to right those wrongs by picking up a win against the lowly Pelicans.

New Orleans is a team that is clock-watching the remaining games on the schedule, just trying to get to the offseason. Tonight is, without a doubt, an opportunity for the Lakers to capitalize on a lesser team.

Lakers Injury Report

LeBron James – Probable (left groin strain)

Last night was far and away LeBron’s best game played since returning from injury. Hopefully, he can build on last night and string together some good games heading into the postseason.

Rui Hachimura – Out (left patellar tendinopathy)

Hachimura will be taking a night of rest after playing the Warriors last night. Rui had his best game since returning from injury, scoring 24 points and shooting 9/15 from the floor.

Maxi Kleber – Out (right foot surgery recovery)

Maxi Kleber remains out as he is still recovering from surgery. Thanks to an update from the Lakers, Kleber has progressed to on-court activities. It’s still unknown if he’ll be back for the playoffs.

Pelicans Injury Report

Zion Williamson – Questionable (low backbone contusion)

The former number-one overall pick Zion Williamson once again struggled with injuries for the majority of the season. It’s a shame, seeing as whenever he is healthy and playing, he looks phenomenal.

Dejounte Murray – Out (right Achilles rupture)

It will be a long and tenuous return for the 28-year-old guard after rupturing his Achilles a few months ago against Houston. The team has reported that he is progressing well and attacking his recovery.

Trey Murphy – Out (right shoulder; torn labrum)

CJ McCollum – Out (right foot bone contusion)

Herb Jones – Out (right shoulder; torn rotator cuff)

Jordan Hawkins – Out (lumbar spine annular fissure)

Brandon Boston – Out (left ankle stress reaction)
