Injury Report: Lakers vs Spurs

Your Los Angeles Lakers (20-16) will finally return to the court tonight to play the San Antonio Spurs (18-19) at Crypto.com Arena. In the wake of the brutal fires that have pillaged through much of the Los Angeles area, Angelenos will be in dire need of some Lake Show basketball.

The Lakers have postponed games due to the fires and have now missed a game against Charlotte and the first of a two-game series against San Antonio. If postponing games has had one benefit, it’s that the team will be rested heading into tonight.

Lakers Injury Report

Anthony Davis (Probable โ€“ Left plantar fasciitis)

The rest that Anthony Davis has gotten over the last couple of games will be massive. He has fought through minor injuries over the course of the season, so we may get a rejuvenated AD tonight.

LeBron James (Probable โ€“ Left foot injury management)ย

LeBron will continue his outstanding play after rejoining the team in early December. After throwing down quite possibly the dunk of the year in their last game against Dallas, fans anxiously anticipate watching the King retake the court.

Bronny James (Out – illness)

There wasn’t much chance Bronny would have played tonight if he had been healthy, but I will say this: He has been playing great basketball in the G-League. He has been averaging 14.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He isn’t at an NBA level yet, but everyone should be ecstatic with his progress.

Christian Wood (Out โ€“ Left knee surgery recovery)

Wood remains out as he recovers from his offseason left knee surgery.

Jarred Vanderbilt (Out โ€“ Right foot surgery recovery)

Vanderbilt will still be out with his foot injury from this summer. Thankfully, JJ Redick recently gave the fans an optimistic update regarding a change in the high-energy wing. Vanderbilt has even been practicing with the South Bay Lakers lately.

Spurs Injury Report

Jeremy Sochan (Questionable – back)

Thirteen days ago, Sochan landed awkwardly after finishing an alley-oop in a game against the Clippers. He eventually returned in the third quarter but has been battling the injury since.
