Injury Report: Mavericks at Lakers

Tonight is a big one for your Los Angeles Lakers. Anthony Davis is back in LA, and he will make his return from injury. He is facing his former team for the first time.

The 10-time All-Star has only appeared in five games this season due to a left calf strain.

Davis has been dealing with the injury since he was traded to Dallas, only appearing in 14 total games for the Mavericks.

Lakers Injury Report

Deandre Ayton – Probable ( right knee contusion )

The Lakers get a starter back in the rotation as Ayton is expected to make his return tonight after missing Tuesday’s game with a knee contusion. He suffered the injury on Sunday against the Jazz.

Marcus Smart – Out ( back spasms )

Smart is a new addition to the injury report as he deals with back spasms. Smart played in Tuesday’s game against the Clippers, recording seven points, three rebounds, and three assists in 20 minutes. He will not suit up on Friday.

Mavericks Injury Report

Anthony Davis – Available ( left calf strain )

Davis will make his anticipated return to the court tonight against his former team. There have been reports of doctors warning Davis of an Achilles tear that may stem from the calf strain, so his minutes may be limited.

Cooper Flagg – Available ( right thumb splint )

The Maverick’s star rookie will also be available to play tonight, but will be wearing a thumb splint.

Kyrie Irving – Out ( left knee surgery )

Irving has yet to make his season debut after undergoing knee surgery. He is expected to return at some point in the year.

Dereck Lively II – Out ( right foot injury management )

Dante Exum – Out ( right knee injury management )
