Lakers at Clippers: Injury report

The Los Angeles Lakers head up the street tonight to face the Los Angeles Clippers in the latest Battle of LA. This week has been eventful for the purple and gold, as they made a shocking move by trading Anthony Davis for Luka Dončić.

Many consider this the biggest trade in sports history. No one expected a five-time All-NBA First Team player and the face of the Dallas Mavericks to leave so abruptly. With Dončić now a Laker and Davis in Dallas, the league landscape looks completely different.

Tonight marks the Lakers’ first game since the trade, but fans must wait longer to see Dončić in action. He has been sidelined for over a month with a calf injury sustained on Christmas Day. The Lakers expect him to debut on Saturday against the Indiana Pacers.

In the meantime, the team must adjust quickly without both Dončić and Davis. LeBron James will take on an even greater workload against a strong Clippers squad. The Lakers have struggled with inconsistency this season, making tonight’s matchup a crucial test of their depth and resilience as they enter a new era.
