Lakers Cruise to Win Over Warriors

The Los Angeles Lakers came away with an important victory over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday. It was a 119-103 victory that helped LA retain the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference over the Houston Rockets.

Let’s break down how the purple and gold came away with their 51st victory of the season.

LeBron James Leads The Way

LeBron James has transitioned to being the number one option since Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves went down with injuries.

The 41-year-old led LA to victory, finishing with 26 points, eight rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and a block while shooting 11-17 from the field and 3-5 from three.

His play will continue to be pivotal down the stretch as they look to secure home-court advantage for their first-round series. Although he’s the oldest player in the league, he is still playing at a high level.

Lakers Team Effort

While James played well, the Lakers also had contributions from a ton of different players. Deandre Ayton took advantage of mismatches all night long, as he had 21 points on 9-11 shooting.

They had several other players in double figures as Jake LaRavia had 16, Luke Kennard had 14, Rui Hachimura had 12, Nick Smith Jr. had 12, and Bronny James had 10.

The Lakers will need the all-around play to continue as they take on the Phoenix Suns on Friday night.
