Lakers Dominate Kings for Second Straight Win

The Los Angeles Lakers came away with a dominant win over the Sacramento Kings on the second night of a back-to-back.

It was a big couple of days for the Lakers, who had been struggling recently. While they were expected to beat the Golden State Warriors and Kings, it was important to go out and execute.

The Lakers did exactly that in the win over Sacramento.

Luka Doncic and LeBron James Shine

Luka Doncic and LeBron James led the way for LA in the 128-104 victory. Doncic finished with 28 points, five rebounds, nine assists, a steal, and a block on 10-16 shooting and 4-8 from three.

It was an efficient performance for Doncic in just 29 minutes.

LeBron James was efficient as well, as he had 24 points, five assists, two steals, and a block on 8-15 from the floor and 3-4 from behind the arc in only 27 minutes.

The Lakers taking care of business early allowed them to rest their starters more than usual.

Bench Unit Gets Extended Run

LA’s reserves played more minutes on Sunday night, with the game being out of reach. Maxi Kleber played 14 minutes, getting some quality time on the floor and converting a couple of highlight plays to finish with six points and six boards.

Trade deadline acquisition Luke Kennard was impactful off the bench with 11 points, five assists, a steal, and a block. Rookie Adou Thiero had an explosive dunk while Bronny James nailed a triple in the final minutes.

Looking Ahead

The Lakers will take on the 19-43 New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday. Although it should be another win, LA can’t take it lightly as they look to extend their winning streak.
