Luka Doncic’s illness
Luka Doncic played through a stomach bug, and it affected his game. “He was vomiting all afternoon. He’s really under the weather,” coach JJ Redick said.
Doncic finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on 6-16 shooting and 2-8 from three. The Lakers will need Doncic back healthy ahead of Game 4.
LeBron James dominance
LeBron James did his part in the loss, scoring 38 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out four assists. He shot 13-21 from the field and 5-9 from three.
James was dominant throughout the game, but it wasn’t enough for LA to get the win.
Lakers Containing the Timberwolves’ role players
The Timberwolves have won two games in this series when their role players have stepped up. Jaden McDaniels had 30 points, five rebounds, and two steals. He shot 13-22 from the field.
McDaniels is always an elite defender, but when he plays well on offense, it’s a challenge for the Lakers. They will need to contain him in Game 4 to get a win.
