Lakers Injury Report: Key Updates Before Spurs Matchup

The Lakers are navigating through a series of injuries, and tonight’s lineup against the San Antonio Spurs will reflect several key absences and limited players working through recovery.

With San Antonio also set to miss a good chunk of their roster, tonight should be the true battle of Doncic vs Wembanyama that everyone is hoping for.

Lakers Injury Report

LeBron James (Out – right sciatica)
Bron remains sidelined with right-sided sciatica and is continuing his rehab off the court, but he will be reevaluated later this month. 

Maxi Kleber (Out – oblique/abdominal strain)
Maxi continues to recover from an abdominal and oblique strain.

Gabe Vincent (Out – left ankle sprain)
Vincent is still out as he rehabs from a left ankle sprain. He hasn’t been cleared for on-court activity and will remain unavailable.

Adou Thiero (Out – left knee surgery recovery)
He remains sidelined following offseason knee surgery. He continues to progress in his recovery but hasn’t been cleared to return to play.

Austin Reaves (Out – right groin soreness)
Reaves was listed as questionable with right groin soreness going into the game. Recently, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports revealed that he would be out tonight. 

Jaxson Hayes (Probable – right ankle sprain)
Hayes is probable for tonight’s game as he manages a right ankle sprain sustained against Portland. He’s expected to suit up and provide frontcourt support.

 

Spurs Injury Report

De’Aaron Fox (Out – right hamstring strain)
Fox remains out with a right hamstring strain and will miss his third straight game. Fox has yet to suit up for the Spurs this season, but Wembanyama has not struggled in his absence. 

Dylan Harper (Out – left calf strain)
Harper continues to recover from a left calf strain and will not play tonight.

Luke Kornet (Out – left ankle sprain)
Kornet is sidelined due to a left ankle sprain and won’t be available tonight. This limits San Antonio’s frontcourt rotation.

Kelly Olynyk (Questionable – left heel soreness)

Jeremy Sochan (Questionable – left wrist sprain)
Sochan is listed as questionable with a left wrist sprain. He will be a true game-time decision. 

Lindy Waters III (Questionable – eye irritation)
Waters is questionable with eye irritation. Waters lll, like Sochan, will be a game-time decision.
