Lakers looking for fourth-straight win against Pistons

The Los Angeles Lakers are on a three-game winning streak and will look to extend it to four as they take on the Detroit Pistons.

The Lakers are in sixth place in the Western Conference with a 16-12 record. They are up against a 12-17 Pistons team that beat the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.

Ahead of the matchup, let’s dive into our keys to the game.

Role players production

The Lakers always expect their star duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James to play well, but games often come down to the production of their role players.

LA will need the other starters, Austin Reaves, Max Christie, and Rui Hachimura, to play well. They will also need production from bench players like D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, and Christian Koloko.

Defense on Cade Cunningham

The Pistons have a great young star in Cade Cunningham, and their top priority should be to shut him down. Cunningham is averaging 24/7/10 on 46/39/78 shooting splits.

Christie will likely have the matchup from the starting lineup, with Reddish also getting time on Cunningham.

If the Lakers want to continue their winning streak, they will need to contain Cunningham.
