Lakers Pick Up Jordan Goodwin’s $2.3 Million Team Option

The Los Angeles Lakers have accepted Jordan Goodwin’s $2.3 million team option, lightly guaranteeing his contract for the 2025-26 season.

Goodwin was an impactful pickup for LA last season, appearing in 29 games, averaging 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and a steal per game. He shot 43.8 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from three.

Jordan Goodwin’s impact as a defender and an efficient floor spacer was evident alongside Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

The 26-year-old guard is a steal to have on a minimum contract. As Rob Pelinka and the Lakers continue to build the roster, having rotation-caliber players like Goodwin on a cheap contract is tremendous value.

In additional Lakers news, LeBron James opted into his $52.6 million player option, while Dorian Finney-Smith declined his $15.4 million player option.

LA also tendered a two-way qualifying offer to Christian Koloko, making him a restricted free agent.

Pelinka and the front office have a lot more work to do, but Jordan Goodwin is back on a team-friendly deal.
