Lakers vs. Pistons Injury Report

In the midst of the longest win streak of 2025-26, the Los Angeles Lakers (46-25) look to take on an injury-riddled Detroit Pistons (51-19) team on Monday night.

Los Angeles has some leeway while making a playoff push in the Western Conference. The Lakers are currently the No. 3-seed while holding a 2.5-game lead over the No. 4-seed Houston Rockets.

While battling injuries of their own, the Detroit Pistons attempt to keep their grip on the top seed in the East. The latest NBA injury report provides updates for both teams.

Lakers Injury Report

Rui Hachimura – Out (right calf tightness)

The 28-year-old is dealing with the setback after playing in limited fashion in the Lakers’ win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday. He will get a day’s rest against the Pistons.

Marcus Smart – Out (right ankle soreness)

Similar to Hachimura’s case, Smart played in Saturday’s win. He won’t be available for the Lakers on Monday while experiencing a sore ankle. His next chance to play will be on Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers.

Maxi Kleber – Out (lumbar back strain)

After missing the previous seven games for the Lakers with a lingering back strain, Kleber is listed as available for tonight’s matchup against Detroit.

Pistons Injury Report

Cade Cunningham – Out (collapsed lung)

Detroit’s MVP candidate will miss an extended period of time after sustaining a collapsed lung last week. Cunningham is going to be re-evaluated next week.

Marcus Sasser – Out (right hip strain)

The 2023 first-round pick is listed as out and will miss a second straight game while dealing with a hip strain.

Isaiah Stewart – Out (left calf strain)

The Pistons’ big man was diagnosed with a left calf strain and will miss his fifth straight game for Detroit on Monday. He’s set to be re-evaluated later this week.

Isaac Jones (G League two-way) – OUT

Wendell Moore Jr. (G League two-way) – OUT

Bobi Klintman (G League assignment) – OUT
