Lakers Pursuing a Defensive Wing
According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, the Lakers have shown interest in Jonathan Kuminga, Derrick Jones Jr., and Isaac Okoro of the Chicago Bulls.
He said that Los Angeles has interest in Naji Marshall and Day’Ron Sharpe. However, he believes it is less likely for Dallas to do business with the Lakers after the Luka Doncic trade.

Draymond Green
On Get Up, ESPN this morning, Brian Windhorst said that the Lakers and Draymond Green have mutual interest. Green is aware that the Warriors could move on from him by tomorrow’s deadline if a deal happens for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Windhorst said, “If he were traded, his plan would not be to remain in Milwaukee. He would want to be moved on.”
With the Lakers looking for defensive wings, Green has been one of the best defenders in the league for years. The one concern is his age and contract. Green will be 36 in March and has a player option next season worth $27 million.
Current Trade Assets
With the trade deadline about 24 hours away, the Lakers possess a few expiring contracts in Rui Hachimura, Maxi Kleber, and Gabe Vincent, along with a 2031 and 2032 first-round pick.
There are some teams that are prioritizing receiving expiring contracts, but it’s unknown if the Lakers will pull the trigger on any moves.
Los Angeles currently sits fifth in the Western Conference and is only three games out of the second seed. The top teams in the West have shown why they are elite. Los Angeles needs to make a move to show how serious they are if they want to contend this season.
LeBron James, Austin Reaves, and Luka Doncic have been solid all season, but they are one or two moves away from truly contending.
