LaRavia is coming off a breakout season, during which he averaged 6.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. The 23-year-old shot 47.5% from the field and 42.3% from three.
LaRavia adds more three-point shooting spacing to the Lakers. He should get plenty of open looks playing alongside talented playmakers like Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Austin Reaves.
Reaves and LaRavia were hanging out with each other earlier this offseason, and Reaves said he would recruit his friend. Reaves succeeded as he will suit up alongside LaRavia next season.

LaRavia fits the Doncic timeline and should be a solid role player for LA over the next couple of seasons. The Lakers need more shooting and size, which is why LaRavia is a solid addition, despite not addressing their problems at center or adding perimeter defense.
After losing Dorian Finney-Smith to the Houston Rockets in free agency, the Lakers needed to add more size. However, Rob Pelinka and the front office have a lot more work to do.
LA needs to add a center or two, as well as acquire more 3-and-D wings to complete their roster.
The Jake LaRavia signing is a good start for the Lakers, but Pelinka and the front office have more work to do as they look to build a contender around Doncic and James.
