Luka Doncic Shines in Lakers Win Over Bulls
Luka Doncic led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 142-130 win over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night. It was a major win for the purple and gold as they now move to third in the Western Conference at 41-25.

Doncic put together an incredible performance, finishing with 51 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, three steals, and a block. He shot 17-31 from the field and 9-14 from three.
Bulls forward Matas Buzelis started talking trash to Doncic, which led to an offensive explosion from the superstar guard.
Doncic increased his points per game average, helping him solidify his lead for the scoring title.

Starting Five Scoring
It wasn’t all about Doncic on offense, as the whole starting five finished in double figures. Austin Reaves had 30 points and seven dimes, Deandre Ayton had 23 points and 10 boards, LeBron James returned to the lineup and had 18 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, while Rui Hachimura added 15 points.
The offensive output from the starting lineup accounted for 137 of the 142 points the team scored. It was a great night from the starters and shows a glimpse of what the team could be.
Looking Ahead
The Lakers have won seven of their last eight games and are trending up at the end of the season. However, the standings are tight in the West, as they hold the three seed, but are two games ahead of the seven seed Phoenix Suns.
LA takes on the Denver Nuggets on Saturday and the Houston Rockets twice next week, with the results of those games pivotal to how the West standings shake out.
