Luka Magic Continues as Lakers Dominate Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers won their second game in as many nights on Monday as they took down Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Miami Heat by a score of 138-117. Per usual, Luka Doncic set the tone for LA as they improved to 6-2 on the season.

First Quarter Flurry

Laker fans are more than used to Luka Doncic’s hot starts, and he satisfied everybody once again. In the first 12 minutes of the game, Doncic put up 16 points, four rebounds, and five assists as the Lakers won the quarter by seven points.

The Lakers’ 37 points as a team in the first quarter helped fuel the 138-point night.  They continue to rank in the top three in scoring offense in all of basketball.

Supporting Cast Shines

Austin Reaves led the charge for the “other” Lakers, posting a hyper-efficient 27-point night on 10/15 shooting from the field and 4/5 from three. Reaves’ TS% continues to soar towards the 70% range, building his case as a potential All-Star.

Walker Kessler completed the excellent night for the big three by putting up 15 points and 15 rebounds. Kessler continues to bounce back after a couple of tough nights a week ago.

Up Next For Lakers

As mentioned, the Lakers improve to 6-2 on the season, good for 4th in the West. The LakeShow will take the floor again November 4th in Sacramento against the Kings.
