Shaedon Sharpe Receives Update Ahead of Matchup Against Lakers

The 3-0 Los Angeles Lakers return home this Tuesday to face the 2-0 Portland Trail Blazers. Both teams have started the season strong, setting up an exciting matchup.

Several NBA stars have suffered serious injuries during the first week of the season. Thunder star Jalen Williams, for example, could miss the entire 2026-27 campaign with ankle and fibula injuries. However, the Lakers and Trail Blazers enter this game relatively healthy.

Lakers Injury Report

Adou Thiero (Out) — Knee

Thiero is still dealing with a knee injury. His debut will not come on Tuesday against Portland.

Cameron Carr (Out) — Oblique

Carr is continuing his rehab with the Coachella Valley Lakers. His oblique injury will keep him out of the matchup against the Blazers.

Trail Blazers Injury Report

Chris Youngblood (OUT) — Ankle

Youngblood is out ahead of Tuesday’s matchup against Los Angeles.

Branden Carlson (GTD) — Concussion

Carlson is also considered a game-time decision as Portland prepares to face the Lakers.

Shaedon Sharpe (OUT) — Meniscus

Shaedon Sharpe remains sidelined with a meniscus injury. He is expected to remain out until around the All-Star break.

Lakers vs. Blazers: What to Watch

Both teams appear relatively healthy heading into this matchup. That should make for an exciting game, especially on the perimeter.

I’m particularly interested in the matchup between Ja Morant and Luka Doncic. Morant has played well in Portland’s first two games, especially on the defensive end. Meanwhile, Doncic has been electric to start the season. He enters Tuesday’s game following a 52-point performance.

Expect a physical and competitive matchup. Neither team should be willing to back down, and the intensity could make this game even more entertaining.

Can the Lakers Keep Rolling?

Tuesday’s game will be a great test for Los Angeles at home. Still, the Lakers should feel confident after their strong start to the season.

With Doncic playing at an elite level, Los Angeles has plenty of reasons to believe it can keep its momentum going.

The Lakers and Trail Blazers tip off at 8 p.m. Get ready for a late-night matchup featuring two teams looking to keep their undefeated records intact.
