Tensions Could Flare as Lakers Face Warriors
Just a week and a half after an opening night matchup that fueled NBA headlines, the Lakers and Warriors will duel again.
This time, the matchup brings the Lakers on the road to San Francisco. Waiting for them is not only Steph Curry, but a rookie with revenge on his mind.
Luka vs Yaxel
Yaxel Lendeborg wasted no time making himself known in his NBA debut. The rookie out of Michigan dueled with Luka Doncic in the team’s first meeting all night long.
The words extended off the court as well, when Lendeborg, in his postgame presser, expressed his dislike of Luka Doncic’s antics.
Lendeborg said in a more recent presser that he is ready for the rematch. Doncic had 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in the first meeting. It’ll be interesting to see what he has for an encore.
Walker’s Wake Up?
After a dominant start to the season against these same Warriors, Walker Kessler’s production has cooled down a bit.
The good news for LA’s big man is that the Warriors simply have no answer for him on their roster. Kessler posted a 26-point, 9-rebound line in the team’s first matchup. If all goes well, he should be able to replicate that.
