Len, one of the best bigs on the buyout market, was slated to sign with the Indiana Pacers. However, Len has opted not to sign in Indiana.
This points to Len having a bigger opportunity elsewhere. That role could be in LA as the Purple and Gold need a center.
The current rotation sees Jaxson Hayes as the starter for the Lakers, with two-way bigs Christian Koloko and Trey Jemison III getting minutes as the backups.
Len could be a solid veteran backup center for the Lakers. The 31-year-old hasn’t played much this season, averaging 1/2/1 in 7.2 minutes per game.
In a bigger role, he could contribute as a rebounder and defender. While Len wouldn’t solve the Lakers center problems, he would add much-needed depth.
The LakeShow would have to waive one player on the active roster to sign Alex Len.
