Injury Report: Lakers at Timberwolves

The Lakers are coming off a 122-108 home loss to the Portland Trail Blazers and will go into tonight very shorthanded. They are in the midst of a tough early-season stretch and will need another effort from Austin Reaves, who finished with 41 points and five assists in the defeat.

Lakers Injury Report

Luka Doncic (Out- Left Finger Sprain and Left Lower Leg Contusion)

Doncic will miss his third straight game tonight and is expected to return in a week after sustaining the injury on Friday.

Jaxson Hayes (Available- Left Patellar Tendinopathy)

Hayes has missed three consecutive games due to knee soreness but will return on Wednesday. Deandre Ayton will continue to start.

LeBron James (Out- Sciatica)

James is sidelined until mid-November and will be reevaluated then. With James and Doncic out, Reaves will handle primary ball-handling duties.

Adou Thiero (Out- Knee)

Adou Thiero is out, but has been cleared for live on-court contact work. He will look to provide defense and athleticism off the bench when he returns.

Gabe Vincent (Out- Left Ankle Sprain)

Vincent will miss the next two to four weeks after suffering a sprained ankle.

Marcus Smart (Out- Right Quad Contusion)

Smart missed Tuesday’s game, so the Trail Blazers took a bump. The Lakers will miss his defensive presence against Minnesota.

Maxi Kleber (Out- Abdominal Muscle Strain)

Kleber has been out since opening night and is expected to miss a total of two weeks.

Timberwolves Injury Report

Anthony Edwards (Out- Right Hamstring Strain)

Edwards felt tightness during Sunday’s game against the Indiana Pacers and left after three minutes. He missed the previous game against Denver and is expected to be out for at least two weeks.

Jaylen Clark (Questionable- Left Calf Strain)

Clark did not play in the previous game against the Denver Nuggets due to a strain.

Rob Dillingham (Available- Cleared)

Dillingham has been cleared to play.
