Injury Report: Lakers at Trailblazers

Today, your Los Angeles Lakers will play in the final game of the 2024-25 regular season against the Portland Trail Blazers. The team has clinched not only a 50-win season for the first time since 2019-20, but they’ve also secured the 3rd seed, which means homecourt advantage for the first time since 2012.

The Lakers beat Houston on Friday night, so their positioning is set; a win or loss today won’t affect their seeding. That being said, the team is planning on resting all of its starters. A few years ago, Austin Reaves took a game like this by the throat. In a regular-season finale against Denver, rookie Austin Reaves scored a 35-point triple-double en route to a win.

Could we be in store for a similar masterclass from Bronny or Knecht?

Jaxson Hayes – Available (right hand contusion)

Jarred Vanderbilt – Available (left foot injury management)

Maxi Kleber – Out (right foot surgery recovery) 

The remaining players out with injuries are nothing to worry about, heading into the playoffs. While LeBron’s injury may be something to monitor, everyone in the organization says he is fine. Seeing all of these players with a week of rest will be incredible.

LeBron suffered a reaggravation of his existing groin injury Friday night against Houston. As previously mentioned, it should not affect his playoff performance.
