Injury Report: Lakers @ Pelicans

Tonight, your Los Angeles Lakers (8-4) roll into New Orleans to face a Pelicans squad still searching for answers at 2-9. It’s the first battle between these two this season, and while the records look lopsided, both teams walk in dealing with injuries to major contributors — and in LA’s case, a superstar inching closer to a return.

Lakers Injury Report

LeBron James – Out (right sciatica)

LeBron will remain on the sideline tonight, still working back from a right sciatica issue. The encouraging part? He’s noticeably ramping up behind the scenes, and the Lakers feel like they’re getting closer to having him back. No official return date yet, but the momentum is trending in the right direction.

Gabe Vincent – Out (left ankle sprain)

Vincent continues to recover from a left ankle sprain and isn’t quite ready to go. The team hasn’t released a revised timeline, but he’s expected to need a bit more time before he can fully reintegrate. His absence keeps the guard rotation thin again tonight.

Adou Thiero – Probable (left knee surgery recovery)

Thiero finally gets the bump from questionable to probable, and there’s a real chance Lakers fans get their first glimpse of him this season. His versatility, length, and defensive presence have the staff excited, and his debut has been one of the most anticipated moments of this early stretch.

Pelicans Injury Report

Zion Williamson – Out (left hamstring strain)

The Pelicans shared an update confirming Zion is progressing smoothly from his Nov. 4 grade 1 hamstring strain and has now been cleared for on-court work with contact. It’s a major step in the right direction, but he still won’t suit up tonight.

Jordan Poole – Out (left quad strain)

Poole remains out with a quad strain, and the Pelicans continue to miss his shot creation and perimeter scoring.

Dejounte Murray – Out (right Achilles rupture)

Murray is sidelined long-term as he rehabs from an Achilles rupture, with no expectation of a near return.

Trey Alexander – Out (G League two-way)

Alexander remains assigned to Birmingham and won’t be active.

Hunter Dickinson – Out (G League two-way)

Dickinson will also remain with the G League squad and is unavailable.
