Lakers dominate Pelicans for seventh straight win
Lakers Continue Hot Streak
The Los Angeles Lakers extended their homestand, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans 115-136 dominantly. Coming into this game with a six-game win streak, they have looked great on both ends of the court, while Luka Dončić is beginning to look comfortable on his new team.
Despite missing Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, LA has sustained success. Meanwhile, the Pelicans have played well, winning five of their last seven games with Zion Williamson back in the lineup.

Dončić Sets the Tone Early
Luka Dončić started strong, scoring 17 points in the first quarter. The Lakers shot 8-of-17 from deep but struggled with turnovers, committing five. New Orleans took advantage, keeping the game close.
Turnovers Keep Pelicans in the Game
Turnovers became a bigger issue in the second quarter. LA gave the ball away four more times, totaling nine in the first half. The Pelicans capitalized, tying the game at 43-43.
Vanderbilt Sparks Defensive Surge
LA’s offense cooled down, but their defense remained locked in. Jarred Vanderbilt was everywhere—crashing the boards, forcing turnovers, and disrupting plays. His effort helped the Lakers build an 18-point lead heading into the fourth.
LeBron finishes strong
The Lakers never let up in the final quarter. LeBron James led the charge, shooting 4-of-6 from the field. He finished with 34 points and became the first player in NBA history to surpass 50,000 career points.
Lakers Cruise to Victory
Dončić and James combined for 64 points as the Lakers secured a dominant 136-115 win. LA gets their seventh straight victory, proving they are hitting their stride at the right time.
