Lakers Take on the Trail Blazers in Final Regular Season Game
The Lakers are wrapping up the 2025 regular season today in Portland. They have already clinched the third seed, so they will rest most of the rotation in this game. We should see a lot of Bronny minutes in this one. Portland is playing for pride, as they have been eliminated from the playoff race.
The Lakers will rest most of the team for today’s regular season finale after clinching the 3rd seed 🙏

Lakers First Round Opponent Watch
Today, we will find out who the Lakers will face in the first round. The possible teams right now are Denver, Golden State, or Minnesota.
There’s been a lot of debate over the best matchup for the Lakers. Each team has a very distinct makeup and poses different threats. Regardless, the Lakers have no control over the outcome.
It’s encouraging that the Lakers have put themselves in this position of clinching a top seed and were finally able to avoid the play-in tournament.
A lot of credit should be given to JJ Redick and Rob Pelinka for their efforts in shaping the roster this season. The team has had its ups and downs, but I can say that as a fan, this has been the most confident I have been going into the playoffs in years.
Luka Doncic is manufacturing a large percentage of that confidence, but the team as a whole looks nearly complete. Austin Reaves has emerged as a star and has become arguably the best third option in the league.
LeBron James continues to defy Father Time, and the addition of Dorian Finney Smith would be the best trade we have made in years if it weren’t for Nico Harrison.
After today’s game, LA will have roughly a week of rest before the first round. It will be needed before the months of grueling games ahead. The bench will need to make the most of their minutes to win the final game of the regular season.
