LeBron Reveals Why Playing with Luka is Special
With the return of the Mind the Game podcast hosted by LeBron James and new co-host Steve Nash looming near, they released a teaser for the latest episode, which shows James expressing his feelings and admiration for his new teammate Luka Doncic.

In the clip, Nash asks James what excited him about playing with Luka. He breaks it down, saying, “Because he plays the game, I always wanted to inspire the next generation to play the game…”
James has been a fan of Luka for quite a while now. It has been very vocal about wanting to work with him in the past, whether it be a sneaker partnership or dreamed of teammates down the line.
James praises players like Luka for instilling confidence in his teammates, causing them to believe they are better than they are. He thinks this confidence is crucial for a team’s success: “Luka has done that for seven years… I’ve been able to do that with a few of my teams, I mean, I don’t go to the NBA Finals in 2006 with that team if I’m not able to make them believe that they’re greater than what they are.”
LeBron James’s praises and comments on the podcast emphasize how important Luka Doncic’s confidence is to their chemistry. At 45-29, the Lakers are attempting to secure a solid postseason spot, and this dynamic pair proves they’re capable of being a title contender.
