Luka Dončić Etches Name in History Books with Historic First Quarter

It looks like Luka Dončić caught wind of the talk. Just a few days after a tough loss against the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić put on a flawless performance, dominating both ends of the floor in the first quarter against the Toronto Raptors.

A Historic First Quarter

In a dominant 12-minute stretch, Dončić put up 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals, while also knocking down 4 three-pointers. With his intense lockdown defense and lights-out shooting, Dončić officially became the first player in league history to have at least 4 steals and 4 three-pointers in the first quarter.

Dominating Both Ends of the Floor

Dončić’s amazing start from beyond the arc and active hands in the passing lanes completely threw off the Raptors’ early offensive flow and fired up the Crypto.com Arena crowd.

Putting the League on Notice

While Laker fans have settled in with Dončić’s insane offensive nights, his defensive efforts early on show the improvement in his all-around game. If this opening quarter is a sign of things to come, the rest of the league is officially on notice. The Lakers are most dangerous when Luka is setting the tone with his two-way dominance.
