Injury Report: Nuggets at Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers (10-5) will take on the Denver Nuggets (8-6) at Crypto.com Arena tonight. The Lakers will look to start a new home winning streak this evening after relinquishing their first home game of the season to the Orlando Magic on Thursday night.

Thankfully, Rui Hachimura is no longer on the report and looks set to return tonight following his four-game absence. Having another big body return to the lineup should hopefully resolve some of the team’s rebounding problems they’ve been experiencing as of late.

Lakers Injury Report

Jaxson Hayes (Out – right ankle sprain)

Jaxson Hayes remains out for his sixth straight game now with the same ailment. Koloko will continue to get the backup big minutes tonight. Hachimura’s return should help fill in the gaps of being short at the big position.

Jarred Vanderbilt (Out – right foot surgery recovery)

Jarred Vanderbilt remains out as he recovers from his offseason surgery. While there haven’t been any setbacks in his recovery, he is still a way out, unfortunately.

Christian Wood (Out – left knee surgery recovery)

Christain Wood, unfortunately, experienced a minor setback recently in his recovery from offseason surgery. He is expected to be reevaluated in three weeks.

Bronny James Jr (Out – left heel contusion)

Bronny James Jr will be listed as out for another game. As listed in other injury reports, this will have little to no effect on the team’s performance as he isn’t a mainstay in the rotation.

Quincy Olivari (Out – right ankle sprain)

Although Olivari has been balling in the G-League as of late, he will be out tonight. Like Bronny, this shouldn’t affect the team that much.

Nuggets Injury Report

Aaron Gordon (Out – right calf strain)

The Nuggets high flyer will remain out for what will be his eighth game now. Peyton Watson will continue to start in the place of Gordon, the 12-year vet.

Vlatko Čančar (Out – left knee strain)

Čančar suffered a knee injury in their game against the Memphis Grizzlies. His absence, per Michael Malone, will be for the foreseeable future.

DaRon Holmes II (Out – right Achilles tendon)

The high-energy big man out of Dayton, DaRon Holmes, has been out and will continue to be held out as he suffered a torn Achilles before the start of the season.
