Lakers vs. Rockets Game 3 Injury Report
The first-round matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets will transition to Houston for Games 3 and 4. Los Angeles has a 2-0 lead in the matchup as they look to continue their 2026 NBA Playoffs run.
Both teams have battled injuries throughout the series, and the official NBA injury report says this trend will continue in Friday’s matchup.
Lakers Injury Report
Luka Doncic – Out (hamstring strain)
Doncic has returned to practice with the Lakers in a limited fashion while recovering from a Grade 2 hamstring strain. The Lakers expect to be without Doncic for the rest of the first-round series against the Rockets.
Austin Reaves – Out (oblique strain)
Reaves was originally labeled as out for Game 3, but the Lakers upgraded his status to questionable as he recovers from the Grade 2 oblique strain. However, he is out after going through a workout, but there is a better chance that Reaves makes his comeback in Game 4 on Sunday.
Rockets Injury Report

Adams remains out for the Rockets after undergoing season-ending ankle surgery.
Fred VanVleet – Out (torn ACL)
VanVleet suffered a preseason torn ACL and will miss the entire 2025-26 season.
Kevin Durant – Out (left ankle sprain)
Durant picked up a new injury aside from the knee issue that kept him out of Game 1 and was questionable heading into Game 2 before playing. Durant is out for Game 3.
