Lakers vs. Rockets Game 5 Injury Report
By Jake Milleron
The Los Angeles Lakers head into tonight’s matchup against the Houston Rockets, dealing with key absences that could heavily impact the flow of the game. With one of their primary stars sidelined and another potentially returning, availability will once again be a major factor in how this one plays out.
Los Angeles will again be without Luka Dončić, while Austin Reaves is listed as questionable in what could be his first game back from injury. If Reaves is able to go, his presence would be a huge boost and a key factor in the Lakers’ chances of securing a win.
Houston, meanwhile, will be missing several impactful players of their own, including one of the league’s top scorers and key rotation pieces, limiting both their firepower and depth.
LOS ANGELES LAKERS INJURY REPORT
Questionable:
Austin Reaves – Left oblique muscle strain (potential return)
Out:
Luka Dončić – Left hamstring strain
HOUSTON ROCKETS INJURY REPORT
Out:
Kevin Durant – Left ankle sprain
Steven Adams – Left ankle surgery
Fred VanVleet – Right knee ACL repair
With both teams dealing with major absences, this game could come down to which side adjusts better on the fly. For the Lakers, all eyes will be on Austin Reaves’ status, as his return could also provide the nail in the Rockets’ coffin.
